Here is a letter I got from Jana (Brewer) Disney regarding her father's (Roscoe Brewer) health and challenges that await him. Gordon asked that I share this letter with each of you.

Sheila
=========================================================

As I write you, my heart aches to tell you that my father, Roscoe Brewer, has found out that his cancer has returned. As you know, he had 40% of his liver removed last year. The doctors felt confident they got all of the cancer then and we were all moving ahead with that knowledge. However, we just received a report this month that he now has cancer in three of the lymph nodes around his pancreas. The doctors have said that this cancer is rare and they do not give him many options. Surgery is risky and his immune system is very low. They do not feel it is the way to go. They have said that chemo would only extend his life for about two months and Dad does not want to go through chemo.

We have prayed, asked questions and researched and as a family have encouraged him to pursue an intense immunotherapy program. This is a program that cleanses the body, balances the nutrients in order to keep the immune system active and fighting off anything that would invade the cells. Cancer cannot live in an alkaline environment and this program gets your alkalinity balanced. We, his children, all believe this is what he needs more than anything. Dad has agreed that this will be his best option to possibly reverse the cancer and put it in remission at the best, and at the very least, extend his life. His doctor has said for him to try it and they will do another cat scan in a few months and see if it has helped. This treatment has worked for many around the world. The doctors have told him unless something changes he only has six months to a year to live. We have hope that with this treatment God can reverse this cancer and extend his life. Our faith is in God and we know He is sovereign and we trust Him completely with dad’s life. My dad feels he still has so much to do and so much to give.

He is being consulted by a certified nutritionist that has worked with countless cancer patients for many years. Many doctors send their cancer patients to her, because of the miraculous results. She has recommended a program specifically for cancer and asked that dad stay on the program for a period of 18 months. Our goal is to build his immune system, detoxify his major organs and feed his body with concentrated amounts of nutrition. My sister in law used this method last year for cancer and she is now cancer free. I know it works!

As we got into all that is involved with the immunotherapy program, Dad and Mom realized it was going to be much more expensive than they had anticipated. This therapy is not covered by Medicare or insurance. They simply cannot afford to continue the therapy at this rate. I do not know where else to turn. We need help and I know Dad has may friends that love him and I am praying that he will have some of those rally around him and help him to be able to complete this treatment program.

In order for us to get this accomplished, he is going to need a minimum of $5,000.00 each month. The 18 month expense is a total of approximately $90,000.00. If we could get 100 of his friends to donate $50.00 each month for 18 months (a total donation of $900.00 per family), I think we could make this work. One time gifts of any amount are needed as well, and will help them to be able to get through this 18 month treatment. No gift is too small. Any amount given will help them right now!

If there are any friends of Roscoe Brewer out there that have been influenced in any way by his life and ministry, would you consider helping him at this time. Every little bit is going to help him to be able to afford the treatment that he needs. I know we can make this work and they are feeling so positive and optimistic that this could save his life.

Even more than that, we need everyone to flood heaven with your prayers for his healing. I do not feel as though God is finished with him yet! There are too many miraculous events taking place in our ministry, EPIC International, right now. I truly believe that God has more years planned for him. We need to use the wisdom that has been given to us now and work on getting his body healthy and healed so he can continue on.

If anyone would like to make a contribution toward helping Roscoe and Margaret with his treatment program, you can make your check payable to EPIC International. Attach a note saying it is for the “Founder’s project”. You will receive a tax deduction for your donation and Roscoe will receive the benefit of the funds to help him continue the treatment, as well as, the great encouragement he will feel knowing so many are standing with him and asking God for complete healing. Please include a note of encouragement and assurance of your prayers if you can. It will mean so much as they walk through this valley.

The address to mail the donation is as follows:
EPIC International
P.O. Box 218
Holly Springs, GA 30142

Greetings YA Family,

It has been two months since our great weekend together so I thought I should communicate my feelings about the reunion. Please do not conclude that my delay reflects a lack of interest or continued excitement. Immediately after the reunion Dottie and I spent a month visiting our friends on the East Coast in Tenn., South Carolina. New Jersey and New York. I also had a great visit with my two brothers Fred and Bob. It was great to challenge them concerning their spiritual condition and praise the Lord they were open and receptive. Please continue to pray for them.

As for my reflections on the reunion, they are powerful and personal. First: In my mind there can be no doubt that God took over Sheila’s marvelous efforts and turned them into a spiritual, Holy Spirit event. With the exception of a few mistakes which can easily be corrected, it was as near perfect as it could be.

Second: I think that we need some type of follow-up gathering. The suggestion has been two years from now. However, I do not think we should make it another reunion, but rather some type of planning conference concerning the future of the Youth Aflame movement. Folks who missed this time or folks who could not come for various reasons could join us and be reunited as we were, but primarily I believe that we need more time to visit, talk, and plan for a continuing relationship. We could pray together and break into interest groups, etc.

I was impressed that there was so much potential power in a unified effort of some kind. We need to know more about all the ministries and enterprises represented by all of us. Without sacrificing the autonomy of each ministry I think we can cooperate in many ways, and I think that we could generate funds to assist those who might need support. I think that we could perpetuate Youth Alive and support its participants.

Third: I would like to receive your comments on the reunion (example - See Nelson Keener’s comments on Facebook) as well as your input about the future. I do not want YA to be about me but rather about you and how you perceive the future. If I am not on target, then when we sell Lassen Pines, I will just proceed on my own to do what I can to help those of our crowd that needs help the most . Let me hear from you via E-mail (gordonluff@yahoo.com ) and title it YA reunion comments.
Fourth: I was blessed by the health of the ministry of TRBC and LU. How great it is that they are being led and staffed by Youth Aflame Alumni. Let us all promise to pray for Jerry Jr. and Jonathan daily.

Last: Dottie and I sincerely thank you for making the effort to come to the reunion. It was one of the greatest highlights of my life. We love all of you more than we know how to express and we pray for you everyday.

If you ever can get to Redding, please know you can be our guest at Lassen Pine any time from June to Sept.

Love:

Dottie and Gordon

I have set up a NEW Facebook page called Youth Aflame Reunion 2009. It is ONLY for those who attended the Reunion. You'll have to request to become a member. That way we can have control over who will be posting. If you've sent me an email relating your thoughts, PLEASE post it to this new site. Everyone, please tell us what the Reunion meant to you, how it encouraged you, how it touched your life, etc. What about seeing friends of thirty-some years? (The original YA Facebook page is still up and running. Nothing's changed there.)

Here are snippets from some I've received:

from Paul DeSaegher - Gordon and all of you really needed and were blessed by this
gettogether. Jani/I were also thrilled to see so many loved ones. A guy who took Macel

Falwell from event to event over the weekend, was talking with Jani yesterday at church,

and told her that when he took Macel to the Friday night banquet, as they were entering the

room, Macel proclaimed to him.....the folk you see in this room tonight are the ones really

responsible for getting LU off the ground in the early days...so just appreciate your current

education(he is a student), and be grateful to all these who worked so hard to make your

current education what it is. Interesting comment, huh?

from Pennie Knutson Hatcher - . It was beyond my expectations. We were given the chance to express corporately what Gordon and the other YA staff have meant in our lives. We could see the fruit of each life of dedication and obedience to God in our classmates and ministry teammates who have persisted over the long term. We learned life lessons as we observed the godly sorrow of some who have made choices that took them far from the Lord, and I hope we could comfort and encourage one another to come back or keep on keeping on, whichever the case. We laughed ourselves silly with our old girlfriends and buddies with whom we shared many miles and smiles. We cried because of the love that we have one for another, and the heart for God that we all have in common. We rejoiced to hear what God is doing all around the world in His Kingdom work, and the work He is doing in each one's life. I, personally was able to right a wrong with a dear sister and friend who I had been separated from by time and distance. I had needed to ask her forgiveness for all these years, and this reunion made that possible. Only time will tell all the many other blessings that will come from having been together - reconnecting, discovering strengths where we need help, building up and encouraging one another.

from Dave Wood - my expectations are rarely exceeded.. The reunion did.. Best times by far were the meals with old friends and the meeting with the youth group kids. I also loved the sing along at TRBC.

someone said - Like everyone else I was overwhelmed, humbled and blessed. (My wife) knew the minute she walked into the banquet room that there was something special about these people, and could sense the "spiritual thread" connecting us all. Meeting and talking to everyone really helped her to understand me better. I was just a little "proud" to be part of something so special.

from Don Jennings - This Sunday morning service at TRBC seemed a little down compared to last week’s service with the YA group performing

more from Don Jennings - I was serious about the Sunday morning service. The YA group looked and sounded amazing at TRBC that Sunday. The pitch was great and stage presence, energy, and spirituality blasted right through the TV screen. If anything they were even better at the 8:30 service. And yes, I recognized all of the voices instantly and was very proud of everyone.

from Bob Dunn - It has been “back to the races” here since returning from the reunion, but have needed the time to process that special time together. I will still be inadequate to fully express my thoughts, but wanted you to know how deeply appreciative I was to be able to be there. This time was a time for God to impact my heart, life and ministry. I guess it was His timing to help me reflect and refocus for the next season of my life. I have loved every bit of my life and ministry these 30+ years in Ariz. with no regrets, but God has his timing and markers in our life to help us pause and reflect. All this to say that I have come home with new “stride” in my step for the next season of my life. Your investment to get everyone together goes farther than you may think as we move ahead in the Kingdom work he has called us to. Thanks again for all the time and effort put forth to make this time a reality. God is so good.

from the Alumni Association - if we could just bottle your spirit

from the GM at the Kirkley - As a side note, while we are always pleased to have business in our hotel, the general feedback from our staff in servicing your group was that "everyone was so nice and pleasant to deal with" and I'm sure they will be happy to hear your intentions of coming back.

FIRST: please excuse the typo in my email yesterday re: the free seminar! The correct date is Thursday, September 10th. Again, here is the website should you need more information: http://home.trbc.org/index.cfm?PID=19340

SECOND: I got an email from the Alumni office this morning. Here's what is says:

Do you think your group would be interested in eating at the LU alumni tent for the LU football game?

For the first time, we will have a 20 ft tent at every LU football home game this year. We will have barbeque meals for $5 each for any alumnus to come and eat before/during the game.

We would like to plan accordingly for the amount of alumni coming through and realize that your group may bring a larger than normal flow through the tent.

Is this something you can ask the Reunion attendees for us to gauge a closer number?

Melissa J. Small '02
Director of Marketing/Alumni Relations
Liberty University

Since time is a factor (and Larry and I are leaving Dallas in the morning!) you will need to respond to Melissa directly! Her email address is: mjeenigenburg@liberty.edu.

Praying for our time together!
Sheila

P.S. We're getting very close to 300 registrants!!!!

P.P.S. To purchase tickets for the football game you MUST go through LU's website. Go to youthaflame.org and click on "buy tickets".

Reunion - IMPORTANT

This will most likely be my last email to you! Sounds funny after two years of corresponding with you. If any one has a new project for me to work on, please let me know! Think I'll be bored after the Reunion ;)

Please know that each of you attending our Reunion has been specifically prayed for by name. For safe travel, good health, that God would revive our hearts, heal old wounds (if necessary) and that we would leave Lynchburg with a renewed spirit to "Go Tell".

Many of you have asked me if Cindy Turner was coming and she IS!! She told me, "I've never watched anybody go into eternity, but it's not a scary thing"! Her heart is full of joy and gratitude as she has experienced God's hand through Doug's illness.

- Below is the revised Reunion Schedule and Who's Coming List. Good things happening! Since we have moved to a larger facility
we have room at the banquet if people still want to come.

- To you who are flying in to Lynchburg and don't have cars, arrange with someone to car pool with to events where we're not using bus
transportation.

- REGISTRATION, Thursday, September 10 - Held at the Kirkley Hotel from 3:00 - 6:00 PM. You will be picking up your registration
packet which has your nametags, tickets to the Banquet, the BBQ, and gift bags from Liberty University. This event is open to ALL
attendees, even if you're not staying at the Kirkley. Light refreshments will be served.

- For those of you who are attending the Banquet ONLY, I will meet you at the door of Room 1500 with your tickets and name tags. IF
you still need to pay for anything, you may do so at this time.

- BANQUET: The menu for the banquet is as follows:

roast beef
pasta dish
chicken marsala
roast potatoes
green beans
mixed veggies
yeast rolls
dessert assortment
coffee/tea

- Dress for Banquet - nice/dressy church clothes
Dress for Convocation (chapel at LU) - Ladies: NO capris, long pants, skirts, dresses are fine.
Dress for all other activities - casual

- If you have volunteered to help set up for the Banquet, you won't have time or transportation back to your hotel to change clothes, so
come prepared i.e. bring make-up, clothes/shoes, etc.

- I"m sitting here listening to a file sent to me by Mark Giles who has put together the Reunion CD. It's FABULOUS!! Can't wait for
you to hear it!

- Calling all CAMERAS!!!! I want to encourage EVERYONE to warm their digital cameras up, buy a new memory card, excerise that
finger that pushes the button, and pratice this phrase, "...could I please get a picture of you all together...smile big....think of
something really funny....suck in that gut....and come on, reallllly smile and say "Peaches"". We need you all to take pictures! At the
end of the Reunion we will gather all the pix and put them in a place where all YA can have access to view or print at their leisure.
Still working on the details.

- If you have family living in Lynchburg who would like to reconnect with YA'ers, please feel free to bring them to any NON-food
event.

- It's never too late to post your bio. Gordon never tires of reading them, so if you submit one I'll continue to post them.
To read others bios that have been posted (157 to date), go to: youthaflame.org, click on "read other's bios".

- To get tickets to the LU Football go to youthaflame.org, click on "click here to buy tickets" in the middle of the page. The tickets
MUST be purchased through this Liberty University website, not me.

Having the opportunity to organize and put this Reunion together has been a joy for me! Thank you, Gordon, for letting me run with it. This weekend has been bathed in prayer and I'm expecting God to show up in a might way!!

Love you all,
Sheila

Reunion - update

1. We are completely SOLD OUT for the banquet on Friday, SO a larger room has been secured for us (thanks, Kendra!) If you have asked to attend the banquet and been told that there's no spaces left, you can now attend!!!! Time is of the essence, so I need to know if you're coming ASAP!!

2. Sad note - our sweet Doug Oldham will not physically be able to attend and sing our signature song "Get All Excited".

3. We could use some help on Friday!!! If you would be willing to leave the group sing-a-long a little early and help us set up for the banquet it would be most appreciated. We can't get into that room until 5:00 b/c classes are in session before that. 10-12 people would be fantastic!!!

Dear YA,
Some things have come to my mind which prompt me to send one more note. I want to strongly emphasize that the YA reunion is not about Gordon Luff. I may have been the starter but the success of YA thru the years is a result of every one of you people. I have been reading the Bios and appreciate them more then you know. To know that you had any influence on anyone is a blessing. However I have recieved comments on how so many others influenced many of you. Dennis Henderson, Roscoe Brewer, Vernon Brewer, Larry Coclasure, Tobyann Davis, Dave Adams, Jim Sanders, Joe Hale and I could go on and on. The point being that any honor I deserve must be spread out far. You have honored me more than enough by what you have accomplished. That is why the bios are crucial so that we can all know what you have done. We all started a movement that must go on and is going on right now all over the world. The purpose of this gathering is not to honor any one individual but for all of us to reunite and see what we can do together in the future. We cannot do that if you're not there, so please register today.

Sincerely,
Gordon

To All YA Alumni:

This will probably be my last contact with all of you before we meet in Lynchburg so I thought I would address a couple of issues.

The registration fee for the Reunion covers the Banquet, BBQ lunch and bus transportation. Because of the traffic and lack of parking on the mountain, we will be using buses to get us to our destinations. The fee also covers being part of the Reunion - the fellowship, sitting around visiting, catching up with old friends, etc. If something's worth doing, it's worth doing right and we're doing this Reunion in a first class fashion. Sheila has been working for two years to make this happen and I appreciate more than words can express what she has done. Please do not let money hinder your meeting old friends but we have to plan to do it right.

Secondly, I know there has been some talk about giving us a gift. You can just get me a new "Get All Excited" New Testament. The one you gave me in 1973 is falling apart. Any left over money will be used to start our YA missions fund. I know that the economic crisis has hurt some of you and I pray that God will see you through.

Please send in your BIOS and REGISTER soon. The DEADLINE for registration is August 1st! You can contact Sheila at larrysheila@sbcglobal.net if you need information.

Let's stay in touch.

We love you all!!!
Dottie and Gordon Luff

This morning I was made aware that some people are confused about registering for the Reunion if they live in Lynchburg or are staying with friends in Lynchburg.

If you LIVE IN LYNCHBURG or are STAYING WITH FRIENDS IN LYNCHBURG you still must register for the Reunion. This has nothing to do with registering at the Kirkley Hotel.

To access the Registration form go to:
youthaflame.org
click on "Register" in the left column
follow the prompts
You will be given two payment options: check or PayPal/credit card.

If you prefer to register and pay by August 1st: when you get to the part where you choose your method of payment, choose CHECK. That will allow you to pay the $65.00/per person later. The FULL amount must to be paid by AUGUST 1, 2009!

Please make your check out to Sheila Colclasure and mail to:
3823 Ridgeoak
Dallas, TX 75244

Notes:
1. to those paying to check: you'll need to include a note to me letting me know if you want any of the special items (t-shirt and size, CD, DVD).
2. the $65.00 does NOT include lodging. We have made special arrangements with the Kirkley Hotel in Lynchburg for lodging. Call them at 434 237 6333 / 866 510 6333 toll free. Tell them you are part of the YA Reunion group.

Hope this helps,
Sheila

Many of you have asked for copies of:

1. The Christian Leadership Book (which Gordon taught from) and
2. David A Teenage Winner (authored by Dennis Henderson).

Both books have been beautifully reproduced by Rich Steininger and are attached in PDF for your use.

A BIG thank you to Rick for his help!!!

The last book, The Prodigal Son (authored by Dennis Henderson) will be available a little later.

This is a ONCE IN A LIFETIME EVENT! It will never happen on this scale again. We have people coming from AUSTRALIA, BRAZIL, FRANCE and RUSSIA!!!

Reservations are coming in really well. The "Who's Coming So Far" attachment is below. I know of at least 30 more who are coming, but have not signed up yet. I'm sure there's many more that I don't know about.

Shuttle transportation is available from the airport. Call the hotel when you arrive and they will pick you up (434 237 6333 / 866 510 6333 toll free).

If you have registered at the Hotel, but not with me for the Reunion OR vise versa you need to do that. All in all, you'll be making TWO separate reservations.

Sheila

Hi to all:
I am sitting at my ten foot picture window at camp looking out at 200 foot tall Ponderosa Pine Trees preparing for our 20th summer season since returning to Lassen Pines. I was thinking of the time I was sitting here and Falwell called me to come to Lynchburg. WOW! I just finished reading about fifty bios and realized how it all began. You guys are some kind of inspiriation!! I cannot wait to see you all and get a big hug from all of you and your kids and yes your grandkids. Ouch!! I heard from Sheila that registrations are a little slow and I think she got a little nervous about our numbers. I am sure there are many reasons for your delay in registrations, but whatever I want her and you to know that I am not worried about numbers, but rather the motives of whoever does come. I am coming because I need the blessing of reuniting with (outside my family) the folks who mean more to me then anything else in this world. If it just ten of us, it will be worth the effort. Of course, we have to remember that most of the effort has been Sheila's!

If you have not seen the bios yet, you have a treat in store. I have been printing them off and plan to make my own book with them to read in my old age when the "steam roller" runs out of steam.

Pray for camp this summer. We are praying for 1000 decisions. Wish you could visit.

Love you all,
Gordon and Dottie

Hi all, just wanted to let you know that we have 91, that's NINETY ONE, rooms already reserved at the Kirkley Hotel!!! Wahoo!

The only rooms left are:
10 non-smoking doubles
1 smoking King
8 smoking doubles

I would advise you to grab one quick if you need to reserve a room!!

I want to tell you that yesterday for the first time I looked at the Bios. I was amazed. I did not realize what a blessing they would be. I sat and wept over so many of them. The messages overwhelmed me and humbled me. They were a special blessing at this particular time to us.
I am going to upload them for myself and make a booklet out of them. I pray that everyone will read them all and realize what a great work God wrought through YA and Falwell and all of you guys. Thanks to everyone for your kind and gracious comments.
Love
Gordon and Dottie
========================================

As you can tell from the above email, the bios are very important to Gordon. Now so, more than ever!

When we first began asking you to submit your bios it was our intention to have a book made (after the Reunion, so some last minute bios could be submitted there) and mailed to you. However, after checking the price of having the book printed and mailed we decided that since the bios are already on the web it would be more financially wise for us to go to the web and read them.

The only problem with that is there are some people (eleven, to date) who have chosen not to have theirs made public. We totally understand their decision. This is due to personal reasons, places of ministry, employment, etc. So if you're looking for a particular person and can't find their bio you'll have to email them and ask if they will share it with you.

If you would like to make yours public let me know and I'll be happy to publish them for you. To date, there are 103 bios already on the web.

To SUBMIT your bio - go to youthaflame.org, click on "submit my bio" (left column), fill out the questions, and hit "submit". It's as easy as that!

To VIEW all bios - youthaflame.org - click on "read others' bio (left column)

I'm putting the finishing touches on our schedule and will email that to you very soon.

People are starting to register for the Reunion through PayPal or personal check. That's exciting!!

KEEP REGISTERING AND SUBMITTING YOUR BIOS!!

More later,

Sheila Colclasure

Monday, April 27, 2009

Hi to all,
I thought that it was time to say Hi to all and remind you to register for the reunion. Sheila has done an unbelievable job of making all this happen so let's respond. One problem with such excellent advanced planning is that we can cool off and relax and forget before the event even takes place. I hope that you will not do that. I am convinced more then ever that God is behind this gathering and some great things for His Kingdom will transpire. I have an exciting program to propose.
I am especially eager for everyone to share with all of us what is going on in your lives and ministries, so get in your BIOS and if you have printed material relating to your ministry or business, bring it with you to distribute.
I want to remind you that I am inviting SMITE folks to join us. Roscoe is coming, some of his kids missed their reunion last year and, remember that SMITE grew out of YA and Roscoe's ministry EPIC is an outgrowth of SMITE. I want them and all other offspring of YA to feel welcome.
I pray that you all have a great summer. We are excited about our 20th summer at Lassen Pines Retreat Center. If you are anywhere close this summer, please feel welcome as my guest at camp. Camp phone number is 530 4743160. Tom Darnell comes every summer for a few weeks to help run camp.
Keep helping Sheila find missing persons.

See you in Sept. !!!!!!
Gordon

The registration form for the Youth Aflame Reunion is up and ready to go!!

You may access the form by going to youthaflame.org and clicking on "register" (left side). After you complete this page, click on "submit" and it will take you to another page where the costs will be broken down. The basic cost of the reunion is $65.00/person, with three optional items for purchase if you choose to do so.

Note to those paying to check: you'll need to include a note to me letting me know if you want any of the options (t-shirt and size, CD, DVD).

Please be advised that the registration fee does NOT include lodging.

Only 147 days until we're all together in Lynchburg at the Reunion!!

Sheila

Tuesday, February 24, 2009

There's several things I need to communicate with you, so here goes:

1. We're working on the total cost of attending the Reunion and I'll send that to you very soon. I think you'll be pleased.

2. I've been advised that there are several activities happening in Lynchburg during the weekend of Sept. 10-12 (unrelated to the LU/TRBC), so hotel rooms will be going fast. If you have not secured a room at the Kirkley, please do so quickly.

Here's an email I received from Randy Smith regarding a recent stay at the Kirkley: I just stayed at the Kirkley this past week. It is a good hotel - in our day, it used to be the Hilton. Has an indoor pool and hot tub (like any of us want to walk around in a bathing suit!), a decent workout room and the rooms are being renovated. It also has a dance club where you can do your old YA routines (ha!). The rooms are large - each has some sort of sitting area. The only real negative - no business center to speak of - just a laptop and printer in the lobby. So if you need access - bring your own laptop - the whole hotel is wireless.
See you there!

Randy Smith

(I've been advised that they are updating the business center. Not sure how much will have been completed by September.)

3. The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir will be performing (along with TRBC's choir) in the services at TRBC on September 6th, so if you were thinking about coming into town early that might help you decide! Remember that the room rates will be the same if you decide to come early or stay late.

4. Henry McKinney has taken on the awesome responsibility of planning a remembrance honoring all the YA'ers who have gone to be with the Lord. Those include: Gary Aldridge, Wayne Campbell, Gloria (Huggins) Harbridge, Jerry Kelly, Sharon (Jones) Mason, Karren (Claiborne) McKinney, James Stevens. If you know any one else, please contact Henry (hlmbooks@aol.com).

5. Please continue to submit your Bios. Gordon is counting on you to do this.
To SUBMIT bio - go to youthaflame.org, click on "submit my bio" (left column), fill out the questions, hit "submit". It as easy as that!
To VIEW bios - go to youthaflame.org - click on "read others' bio" (left column)

I try my best to have them posted within 24 hours after you submit them, so don't be confused if you don't see yours immediately.

6. Attached are the latest Master List (we've added several new names) and the Names to Contact List. Still looking for people.

More later,
Sheila

- Youth Aflame Reunion - September 10-12, 2009

- Web site address - youthaflame.org

- Facebook - can be accessed by going to Facebook.com and searching for Youth Aflame Alumni. You'll have to join Facebook but it's a simple process.

Happy New Year to each of you! Only 240 days until the Youth Aflame Reunion!!

Here is the schedule for our Reunion. It might change a little bit, but I believe it's pretty much a "go". There'll be a few updates coming later.

Thursday ~ Pretty much Meet & Greet day. (Not sure what time we'll officially start or where it will be held. Will let you know later.) That night would probably be just people getting together for dinner, talking, etc. No "official plans".

Friday ~
Morning: YA Tour: Tour the campus, museum, the Mansion, Jerry's memorial & other points of interest from the old days: Pittman Plaza, the Hotel, Timberlake class building, old/new scaremare site & the old TRBC facility.
Kendra is going to check into using buses to take us on the tour.
Lunch: Maybe eat on the mountain?

Afternoon: Sing Along Time: Groups visit with Gordon, sing old songs together & reminisce, share memories, tell stories...
Hopefully, we will be able to sing to the soundtracks we have had copied over from our reel to reel tapes to CD's...and/or utilize some of our pianists who remember the songs. (This is still being worked on.)
Evening: YA Banquet: Honor Gordon, give plaque or love offering gift,
Entertainment: Rick & Mick Vigneulle. Doug Oldham will also be there to sing Get All Excited. BTW, "Get All Excited" is the theme for the Reunion. Not sure where this will be held.
Keynote Speaker: Gordon

Saturday ~ Trip to the Peaks, catered barbecue dinner mid-late afternoon

Sunday ~ Ask Jonathan to recognize Gordon by perhaps having him pray in the morning service. Have all of us stand to be recognized. That might be the extent of our exposure. Still working on this.
===========

We are working on hotel rooms and you'll be hearing from me soon regarding this. Also working on having a "live" video made of our time together.

Please keep submitting your bios. This is important to Gordon.

To SUBMIT your bio - go to youthaflame.org, click on "submit my bio" (left column), fill out the questions, and hit "submit". It's as easy as that!
To VIEW bios - go to youthaflame.org - click on "read others' bios" (left column).

Attached are the Master List and Names to Contact list. Please look over the Names to Contact list and see if you know where any of these people are. Have you found them on Facebook, gotten a Christmas card from them, received a phone call, etc?? It's important that we find these people and give them time to plan to be with us in September. Thanks so much for your help!!

More later,

Sheila
